Transfer of Immovable Properties /Registration of Properties
Registrations of properties due to sale/ purchase, gift, lease, mortgage etc are done in the Registering offices pertaining to that jurisdiction.
For registration of sale deeds etc. No Objection Certificate from District Registrar concerned is required.
The District Registrar usually issues NOC within 30(thirty) days from the date of applications for a certain property, if he is satisfied the property is free from all emcumbrances.
In this case the District Registrar is assisted by the Circle Officers.
After issues of NOC,the Sr. Sub Registrars/Sub Registrar register the property in the name of the Purchasers within 120 days from the date of issue of NOC by obtaining registration fee and stamp duty on basis of current zonal valuation.
In this regard, clearance from GMDA and Municipal Boards is required whenever applicable.
