It is basically known as search certificate and the content of the certificate is either encumbered or non-encumbered. From Act 1908 pre-independence, existence of search form for applicant and subsequently search certificate in respect of immovable property with encumbrance or without encumbrance (NEC) occurs.
Applicant need to apply for the NEC in their respective SR offices for searching of a particular plot of Land weather the Land is encumbered or not. For this purpose inspection of search fees i.e index searching fees is required (“h” fees). They are as follows:-
a) For inspection of search of index Rs5/- for the first year.
b) For every additional year Rs 3/- are taken.
c)For inspection of copy of each document in register book 1(including files of copy memorandum and sale certificate) or index relating to Book 1 or for search of copy of each document in Registrar Book III or Book IV or search of inspection of any other book or Register for any particular year Rs 5/-.
d)When an applicant requires the certificate to be furnished within three days from the date of application he shall have to pay double the fees and ARTPS fees is Rs 20/-.
